Not great from a “not doing even more propaganda than we already do” perspective
Bringing up really interesting discourse (via other platforms) about how we have come to view online discourse as wholly housed within social media (it’s not)
Creators losing income, communities losing lines of communication for mutual aid etc. is less than ideal
People are unplugging if only for a moment and using this collective experience to rethink how they spend their time online and how that impacts their mental health
People are rightfully angry at the bipartisan fuckuppery here and it’s certainly not been wholly realized yet but this “bad thing” is a step in the right direction of getting people to realize how much power they have to control their communications no matter what the bipartisan fucker-uppers and social media moguls are doing
