Gardening is the perfect example of how *time* and *the correct conditions* combine to create something
In our heavily consumerist world, we’re so used to seeing “final products” being sold to us that we’ve collectively lost the ability to see how things start.
And more importantly – that starting doesn’t look like much. It’s not marketable because you can’t really SEE it. It’s a concept. A belief system.
It’s a veggie scrap on a countertop in January that won’t be into the ground for many months.
It’s a posty note with and idea that won’t become its final piece of art for many years.
It’s a solution you can’t quite articulate until you connect with a few more people that have complementary skills to your own.
If you’re feeling frustrated or doomy and gloomy lately that’s okay. The world is…. a lot. But remember to ground yourself in the idea that the power of smallness – of starting, of stepping outside of or working within systems of power in new ways.
No one can ever stop you from believing that the most powerful systems of change on earth are usually *small*
