The Moment Cory Booker hit 24 hours

Imagine a world in which everyone shared their 24 hours.

24 hours of stories.

24 hours of time.

24 hours of rants.

24 hours of reflection.

24 hours of discomfort.

24 hours of imperfection.

24 hours of vulnerability.

24 hours of standing in *embodied space* speaking power to systems of disembodied, misinformed power.

Cory Booker’s 24 hours are so powerful not because he’s the singular hero of this remarkable story, or that the hours any one person puts in need to be consecutive and streamed for the world to see. (although seriously 10 thousand billion democracy points for this guy and his historic moment!)

They’re powerful because they remind each of us we have our own 24 hours to share, to amplify our stories and those of our communities. Stretch your hours out over a month, a year, or a lifetime – it doesn’t matter! Just know your stories matter too.

Tell them on porches or at podiums, it matters very little which.

Because the things that give us hope, and purpose, and **power** in this world do not come directly from a podium in Washington – they come from us. Wherever we might be, whenever we might be speaking, whatever we might be speaking about.

Just start telling stories **out there** in the world.

And never EVER stop.
